Our Story

Paul and Sheila Cavenah are the senior pastors of The Grand Church located in Kinder, Louisiana. They have been married since 1992 and are the proud parents of three children.  Paul earned an Associate Degree in Business Administration prior to marriage.

 

In 1993, they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to attend Rhema Bible Training College and graduated with the class of 1995.  After graduation, they returned back to their home church and served as volunteers for six years in youth and children’s ministry.   

 

In 2000, Paul and Sheila moved with their two small children to Belize, Central America for three months to attend Agape Cross-Cultural Training Center.  Upon completion of the course, the Lord directed them to move back to Kinder, Louisiana.

 

In 2001, they accepted a full-time position in their local church. The two of them served faithfully for seven years in various areas of ministry including youth, children, missions, associate pastors, and eventually, senior pastors. 

 

In 2008, the purpose and the plan of God became evident for their lives, as they launched out to pioneer The Grand Church, where they currently reside as senior pastors. 

 

They have a deep love for missions and have ministered in eleven different nations.  Paul ministers truth through practical messages.  He has a down-to-earth style filled with humor and a story telling ability that resonates with people of all ages. Paul & Sheila desire to see people grow spiritually and step into their purpose.
